A. Promotion by you, search engine submissions, directory listings and links from other sites will all be part of marketing your site. You can find more promotional information here.
Q. How can I register www.mybusiness.com?
A. Domain names registration usually start around $35 a year but may be higher or lower depending on which service you use. This is billed directly to you. The name you'd like to use is often apparent. It may not be available, or a different name may be better for marketing your site. We'll help you with this and get your name registered. We don't charge a fee for this; it simply makes the process of building your web site easier for you and us.
Q. How long will it take to get my site up?
A. This can be anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. It depends on other projects that have been scheduled, how quickly information is sent to us, how much information is provided, and how large the site will be. It is possible that we might be able to put together a large site in a very short amount of time, if there is a valid reason for the urgency. We can normally get a basic site up within a week. Projects reserved for a specified time frame always take priority.
Q. What do you need to start on my site?
A. If you have an Internet Service Provider (ISP) who also offers virtual server capabilities all you need to do is call them to arrange for the service. If your ISP does not offer this service, we can refer you to one who does. The cost is usually not any more than what you are paying now for your normal ISP service but may vary with each provider. We recommend using GoDaddy for both domain name registration and hosting services because of their dependability and service.
Photos, logos, brochures, text... any kind of information! Most fixed quote projects require a 1/3 deposit before work can begin, 1/3 when the site is ready for your review and the balance due on publishing the site for public view. Cash, checks, money orders and credit cards via PayPal are accepted.
